FREQUENTY ASKED QUETIONs
We have three different options for delivery…
SCHEDULED DELIVERY: You make an online Click and Collect order giving Dropbird authority to collect, we collect it and bring it you your home or work within the specified timeframe. In this option we charge you the specified delivery fee set out in our pricing. We suggest booking your Dropbird delivery slot before making your online order to ensure a timely delivery that suits you.
ONE-OFF DELIVERY: you give us a list of items you need we then purchase them and deliver them to your home or work within the specified timeframe. In this option we charge you for each item’s cost and the specified delivery fee set out in our pricing. We always provide receipts for all purchases made on your behalf.
COURIER: (suitable for rural/remote customers that can’t get door to door delivery to their property): you make an online order to be delivered to our HQ in Lennox Head. When it arrives, we arrange a time and day that is suitable for delivery to your property. We deliver it to you. Pricing for this option is dependent on number of items, item weight, distance from our HQ to your properties. Please get in touch if you want to make use of this option and we will give you competitive pricing.
Yes, we can deliver groceries from any of the major supermarkets including Woolworths, Coles & IGA. We pick-up on behalf of the customer via the stores Click & Collect service. But we do not deliver fresh or frozen food (perishables) – shelf stable items only at this stage until we get refrigerated vehicles.
Our number one priority is the safety and wellbeing of our customers and our team. Since the advent of Covid-19 We are now offering contactless delivery, while continuing to follow our Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) practices. We have taken steps to make this process as safe as possible, including the following measures:
- when Dropbird drivers we check ID, They will examine your ID from a distance without having to handle it personally
- Dropbird drivers will no longer require a signature from you (our drivers will take down your details instead)
- Dropbird drivers will try to maintain a social distance of 1.5m minimum wherever possible, which means they will take care when handing over items or will leave them on the ground where it is safe to do so.
All returns & refunds on purchased items are the responsibility of the Supplier. Dropbird only acts as the Courier (i.e. customers need to contact the supplier to arrange the most suitable method of return, based on their own individual company policy).
We will certainly do our best to work with you to make delivery most convenient for you during this difficult time. We will always require proof of age and sobriety from whoever is nominated to receive your order, as per RSA specifications.
If your order has not yet been picked up in-store by our delivery team members, we are most often able to redirect it for you. However, if it has already been picked up for delivery by our delivery agent, we may be unable to do so. Regardless, if you require redirection, contact our contact centre and they will do their best to work with you to find an acceptable solution.
Delivery times will be approximate only. Once we develop & launch our “real-time-tracking” App you will be able to get a more exact time of delivery. To make things as convenient as possible during this time, you can specify your preferred time window for an additional cost upon checkout or choose the option of delivery any time before 5pm on any specific day.
